The activation process is the first absolute step to unlock the full potential of our digital banking services. This guide provides you with a clear and concise walkthrough, ensuring a smooth activation experience.
From receiving notifications to setting up your biometric authentication (fingerprint or face ID) and performing initial credit transfer in the KAF Digital Bank (KAF DB) mobile application, we've got you covered.
Notification Methods
You will be notified through:
- Push notification
Activation Kickstart Options
Initiate the activation process by:
- Tapping the push notification leading to the Declaration page in the app.
- Clicking the deep link in your email, redirecting you to the Declaration page in the app.
- Launching the app and tapping on "Activate Account" on the Login page.
Activation Steps
- Launch the App:
Open the app and tap on "Activate Account".
- Declaration Page:
Agree to the Terms & Conditions, Shariah Terms & Conditions, Personal Data Protection Act, and the Product Disclosure Sheet (Financial Product Details) by ticking the checkbox.
- Continue:
Tap "Continue".
- Username and Activation Code:
Enter your Username and Activation Code provided in the email.
Tap "Continue".
- Biometric Setup:
Set up your biometric authentication using fingerprint scanning or face ID.
Allow the app to access your biometric information.
- Enable Biometric:
Tap "Enable Biometric".
- 6-Digit PIN Creation:
Create a secure 6-digit PIN.
Tap "Continue".
- Confirm PIN:
Re-enter the 6-digit PIN to confirm.
Tap "Continue".
- Perform Credit Transfer:
As a part of regulatory compliance, you are required to credit a minimum of RM10 into your account to proceed the account activation process. You are also required for the sender to have the same name as your account in our KAF Digital Banking app and it must be from a conventional or Islamic bank, and not from digital banks nor e-Wallet service providers.
- Acknowledgement:
View the Acknowledgement page confirming "Activation Success".
- Login:
Tap "Login" to navigate to the Login page.
Eligibility for Smooth Activation
- Declaration Page:
Complete the Declaration page by ticking the confirmation boxes.
- Biometric Authentication:
Enable Face ID or fingerprint unlock for secure access to the app.
- PIN Creation:
Set up your 6-digit PIN and confirm it for future logins.
- Transfer Reminder:
This transfer must be initiated from your external bank account and failure to do within 30 days will unfortunately result in account closure.
